Why do we grind our own burgers?
Freshly ground beef is considered better than processed ground beef because:

* Superior flavor: Freshly ground beef has a purer, more "meaty" flavor compared to the
potentially bland or "off" taste of some store-bought options.
* Better texture: Freshly ground beef is often coarser, which can create a more satisfying,
steak-like bite when cooked.

* Higher nutrient retention: Fresh ground beef retains more vitamins and minerals like iron, zinc,
and B vitamins, which can be lost during processing and extended storage.

* Nutrient-dense: The meat used for fresh grinding is often more nutrient-dense, as it's not
made from low-quality scraps from multiple cows
* Freshness: The meat's vibrant color indicates freshness, and its duller, brownish color can
signal that flavor is fading.
* Choice of cuts: When you grind your own beef, you can choose the specific cuts of meat
and control the fat-to-lean ratio, which isn't always possible with pre-packaged ground
beef.
* Traceability: You know exactly where the beef came from, whereas pre-packaged meat
might be a blend of trimmings from multiple cows sourced from different places.

* Source of bacteria: Processed meat may contain bacterial contaminants from the meat
that was used to make it, whereas fresh ground beef is made from whole cuts of meat.
* Processed ground beef can have additives, a different texture due to finer grinding, and is
more susceptible to bacterial growth because the meat has been ground for an unknown
amount of time and its larger surface area is exposed to oxygen.
